Astute's Renewables Team is partnering with a renewable energy company to recruit a Wind Turbine Service Technician for its site in East Scotland on a 10-month fixed-term contract, with potential future opportunities available.

Responsibilities and duties of the Wind Turbine Service Technician role
Reporting to the Lead Technician you will:
Carry out planned maintenance and servicing on Siemens 2.3 and Nordex N80 wind turbines.
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
Complete maintenance paperwork and service records accurately.
Support the wider team to improve turbine performance and reliability.
Take part in the on-call rota for breakdown response, including weekends and out-of-hours work.
Follow all health and safety procedures and site rules.
Maintain PPE, tools, and company vehicles to a high standard.
Assist with Risk Assessments and Method Statements when required.
Communicate effectively with the control room and site management teams.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Full GWO certificates and valid medical.
Experience working in mechanical or electrical maintenance within heavy industry or renewables.
Wind turbine experience on Siemens and/or Nordex turbines is essential.
Electrical or Mechanical qualification such as NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent would be an advantage.
Knowledge of Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR).
Previous AT or CT experience would be an advantage.
Full UK driving licence.
Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office
