Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a Locum Consultant Haematologist. The post is advertised as full-time, but applicants seeking a part-time post will be considered.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis and ongoing care of planned and emergency haematology patients.
Applicants must have:
1. Full GMC registration with a license to practice
2. MRCP or equivalent
3. FRCPath
4. On the specialist register or within 6 months of Haematology CCT at the time of interview
5. Experience managing patients within the area of special interest

The haematology department is a specialist haemoglobinopathy centre managing over 400 patients with sickle cell disease and some with Thalassemia. The team diagnoses and manages a range of malignant and benign conditions, providing level 1 care. The department also features a specialist MPN service with an advanced nurse practitioner and a nurse-led anticoagulation service, along with an established hospital transfusion service.
