The successful candidate will:
* Have experience working with residents living with dementia
* Have a genuine interest in residents' wellbeing
* Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
* Work effectively within a team
* Be able to motivate participation
* Have strong organizational and time management skills
* Build residents' self-esteem
* Stay informed about new activities and best practices
Role and responsibilities include:
* Organizing and coordinating tailored individual and group activities, including themed events based on holidays and traditions
* Booking external entertainers and suppliers
* Planning trips considering transport and accessibility
* Contributing to a stimulating activity program to enhance residents' quality of life
* Maintaining records of resident participation and needs
* Keeping a portfolio of activities available within the home and community
* Participating in fundraising events
General duties:
* Attending staff meetings
* Completing mandatory and developmental training
* Communicating effectively with staff, relatives, visitors, and agencies
* Practicing safe working practices
