Overview
A Disputes Lawyer is sought by a long established regional heavyweight that has grown substantially over recent years. The firm advises on all types of professional and commercial disputes as well as private client matters, providing practical advice to companies and individuals on the best way forward when trying to resolve disputes. You will be advising on varied commercial disputes involving property, contracts, negligence, shareholders, insolvency, partners and directors.
Responsibilities
* Advise on a mixed caseload of commercial and private client dispute resolution work.
* Handle commercial and residential landlord and tenant disputes and other property disputes where applicable.
* Deliver succinct, high-quality advice; communicate effectively with clients and the team.
* Draft and negotiate effectively; contribute to the future development of the team.
* Engage in marketing and business development activities as part of the role, including flexibility to work outside normal office hours when required.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in handling a mixed caseload of commercial and private client dispute resolution work.
* Experience in commercial and residential landlord and tenant disputes and other property disputes is desirable.
* Ability to deliver concise, high-quality advice with strong client and team communication skills.
* Strong drafting and negotiation skills; a desire to contribute to the team’s growth and development.
* The role offers progression with support to develop an individual’s own caseload and career.
