Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a dynamic and forward-thinking Hampshire-based business that is seeking a Financial Controller to join them on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an immediately available, technically strong Financial Controller who enjoys a varied role.About the Role:The Financial Controller will oversee all aspects of the finance function. This position requires a hands-on accountant with a strong technical background and the ability to lead a small finance team.Responsibilities of the Financial Controller include:
* Preparation of statutory accounts and financial reporting.
* Oversight of monthly management accounts and associated reporting packs.
* Delivery of management information and financial analysis.
* Liaising with external auditors, banks, and internal stakeholders across the business.
* Leading, mentoring, and developing a small finance team.
* Ensuring robust financial controls and processes are in place.
* Supporting strategic decision-making through accurate and timely reporting.
The successful Financial Controller:
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* Immediately available or available at short notice.
* Strong technical accounting skills, with experience in statutory and management reporting.
* Proven experience in leading a finance team.
