On behalf of Rolls-Royce who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Skilled CNC Machinist for a 12 month contract based in Ansty, Coventry. As a Skilled CNC Machinist, you would be working on a 3-shift pattern (weekly rotating morning, afternoon/link and night shifts). As a Skilled CNC Machinist, you will be: A multi-skilled Engineer with the ability to use a range of machine tools manufacturing high quality aerospace components. Critiquing your own work undertaking both visually and dimensionally inspecting components. Maintaining our excellent quality standards, being an integral part of our manufacturing process. Working within strict HS&E guidelines, maintaining a clean and safe environment. Assessing of whether the quality of components produced within the facility meets the required standards. What we require from a Skilled CNC Machinist: A completed an engineering apprenticeship* and an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification. Experience in 3 or 5-axis grinding, milling or turning on CNC machines. Previous experience with aerospace components would be an advantage. Experience of Siemens control systems would be an advantage. Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, dimensional and visual inspection.
