About the Role
As the Management Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial insights to drive business performance. You will be responsible for producing management accounts, ensuring financial controls, and supporting strategic decision‑making within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis
* Managing accruals & prepayments
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Overseeing cashflow management and forecasting to ensure business stability
* Providing insight into standard costing and driving cost efficiencies
* Producing flash reports to track financial performance
* Acting as a business partner to non‑finance stakeholders, translating financial data into actionable insights
* Supporting process improvements to enhance financial reporting and controls
* Assisting with budgeting and forecasting, ensuring alignment with business strategy
* Monitoring inventory valuation and working closely with operations on stock control
* Conducting profitability analysis on product lines, identifying cost‑saving opportunities
About You
* Part Qualified (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) or Qualified with relevant experience
* Experience within the manufacturing sector is essential
* Strong management accounting background
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence non‑finance teams
* Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel skills
