Job Description
Linney is a world-class, multichannel marketing services business. We are looking to appoint a photography production manager to a hands-on role dedicated to a single, high-profile coffee brand client.
Role Overview:
This is a production and project management role responsible for leading end-to-end photography production across a portfolio of large clients. The Photography Production Manager will oversee in-house studio photography, location shoots, and post-production workflows, ensuring all work is delivered to a high creative standard while maintaining strong commercial control, operational efficiency, and studio governance.
This role requires an experienced, highly organised operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable navigating ambiguity, and can drive momentum even when timelines, scopes, or budgets evolve. You will bring deep expertise in studio photography production within an agency, brand, or production environment, alongside strong traditional project management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Project and production management
* Lead end-to-end delivery of photography projects from brief through to final asset delivery across multiple large clients.
* Own production timelines, scopes, and budgets, ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget, and to agreed standards.
* Build and manage detailed production schedules covering shoots, retouching, and delivery, maintaining a clear overview of all incoming and active requests.
* Prepare and manage estimates, cost tracking, purchase orders, invoicing, and final billing in line with commercial governance processes.
* Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and resourcing pressures, proactively solving problems and adjusting plans as priorities shift.
Studio photography and operations
* Oversee all in-house studio photography workflows, including scheduling, shot list planning, shoot days, retouching, and asset delivery.
* Manage day-to-day operation of studio spaces, ensuring organisation, equipment care, readiness, and efficient set ups and take downs.
* Maintain studio standards, processes, and documentation to support safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
* Ensure health and safety requirements are met across all shoots, including preparation of relevant risk assessments and shoot documentation.
Resource, crew, and vendor management
* Select, brief, and manage internal and external photographers, retouchers, assistants, and production crew.
* Manage onboarding, scheduling, and billing for freelancers and external vendors.
* Source and manage props, equipment, and specialist suppliers as required by briefs and budgets.
* Maintain strong working relationships with trusted suppliers while ensuring value for money and commercial rigour.
Skills, experience, and attributes
* Proven experience managing studio photography production within an agency, brand, or production environment.
* Strong traditional project management skills, including planning, budgeting, commercial tracking, and governance.
* Hands-on experience managing in-house studio spaces and photography workflows end to end.
* Exceptionally organised and detail oriented, with confidence building and maintaining robust spreadsheets and operational systems.
* A proactive self starter who can manage multiple workstreams, shifting priorities, and tight deadlines with confidence.
* Calm, positive, and solutions oriented, particularly when faced with incomplete information or changing circumstances.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across creative, account, studio, and leadership teams.
* Comfortable operating at pace while maintaining control, consistency, and high standards.
