About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a residential development project in Chelmsford. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the construction and completion of 15 high-end luxury houses, supporting the Site Manager in delivering a premium quality development over a 2-year programme.
This role will have a strong focus on snagging, quality control, and aftercare, alongside coordination of trades and liaison with customers and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities

Managing and coordinating on-site trades and subcontractors
*
Overseeing and completing snagging works to a high standard
*
Handling aftercare and customer service issues professionally and efficiently
*
Liaising with homeowners, sales teams, and head office departments
*
Reading and reviewing RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
*
Assisting with site health & safety compliance and daily site supervision
*
Supporting programme delivery to meet key build deadlines
*
Ensuring exceptional quality standards appropriate for luxury homes
Requirements
*
Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager within residential construction
*
Strong background in snagging and aftercare
*
Experience delivering high-spec / luxury housing projects
*
Ability to read and understand RAMS documentation
*
Confident in managing subcontractors and trades on-site
*
Excellent communication skills when dealing with customers and sales departments
*
SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS and First Aid (preferred)
*
Strong eye for detail and commitment to high-quality finishes
