Job Vacancy: History Teacher - A-Level Politics
Location: Secondary School, Hatfield
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Salary: Competitive (TBC by hiring manager)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and fully qualified History teacher with a passion for Politics to join our team at a well-established secondary school in Hatfield. This role is a fantastic opportunity to support A-Level students in Politics until Christmas, with the potential for a permanent, full-time position from January 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach A-Level Politics to engaged and motivated students
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students
Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback
Support students in preparing for exams and coursework
Contribute to the wider school community and participate in departmental activities
Requirements:
Fully qualified teacher status (QTS) in the UK
Experience teaching A-Level Politics (desirable, but History teachers with a strong understanding of political content will be considered)
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A passion for education and a commitment to fostering student success
Strong knowledge of the current A-Level Politics curriculum
Ability to engage and motivate students to achieve their potential
