Job Description:
Reporting to the Managing Director, Transport & Logistics, the role holder will develop and lead operational excellence and best business practices, optimizing our services and value offering to customers to achieve performance targets. You will bring innovation, leadership, financial focus, growth, and ensure a high-performance culture within your remit. This is an active and visible role within a growing division requiring strong leadership and entrepreneurial ability. Client interaction is significant, and excellent relationship management skills are required.
About the Role
This role requires significant interaction at all levels within the company, with internal stakeholders, and external clients. Excellent communication and influencing skills are essential. You will support business development activities, including quotes, tender submissions, and client presentations. The individual must possess strong leadership and motivational skills to create a high-performing team, coach and develop team members, and support colleagues with ideas to improve overall team performance. A champion of innovation and full compliance with industry standards, employment legislation, ISO, and company policies is required. Ensuring health and safety compliance is mandatory.
Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day operations of the role portfolio.
* Develop and implement process improvements to enhance service quality and efficiency.
* Experience in delivering security and cleaning contracts within both single and integrated services in the Transport and Logistics sector is essential.
* Proven experience managing multi-service lines, multiple sites, and teams in a senior operational role.
* Collaborate with executive management on performance goals and strategic plans.
* Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and productivity.
* Develop, implement, and monitor operational systems and processes.
* Analyze current processes and performance, recommending improvements.
* Build and maintain relationships with department heads, partners, and vendors.
* Devise strategies to grow programs and optimize output while minimizing costs.
* Manage significant budgets and demonstrate initiatives to improve financial targets.
Qualifications
* A relevant Business Degree or equivalent experience.
* Proven senior leadership experience in a similar field.
Required Skills
* Strong knowledge of operational functions including finance, customer service, operations, and people management.
* Track record of strategic operation management, client relationship building, and value-based management.
* Ability to plan and optimize operational processes.
* Experience in implementing new structures to support business demands.
* Knowledge of industry regulations and legislative guidelines.
* Ability to foster innovation and motivate teams.
* Creative influence skills to meet targets in a fast-paced environment.
