Your new role
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the project programme on site, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will establish excellent working partnerships with suppliers, sub-contractors, clients, and all stakeholders. Your role will also involve ensuring the quality of service and safety is paramount, alongside project management including estimation.
Main Tasks & Duties:
1. Initial Site Set Up:
* Liaise with the Design & Estimation Engineer to examine design and formulate requirements for smooth and efficient on-site work.
* Manage site setup once the design package is approved.
* Coordinate with the main contractor or sub-contractors for site setup.
* Arrange and attend pre-site meetings as necessary.
* Create and manage the project programme.
* Ensure health, safety, and welfare standards are met, including site-specific risk assessments and method statements.
* Ensure sufficient labor supply to meet project timelines.
* Liaise with the Site Manager.
* Ensure site workers and sub-contractors are trained and qualified for their tasks.
1. System Support for Site Setup:
* Source cost-effective training providers and ensure certifications are up to date.
* Monitor training effectiveness.
* Maintain an approved list of subcontracted labor with complete records.
* Stay informed about industry legislation, safety, and environmental standards.
* Source economical suppliers for equipment, PPE, and materials.
* Address quality issues with suppliers.
* Act as the main contact for all site labor.
2. General Responsibilities:
* Ensure environmental policies are followed.
* Complete and file all necessary paperwork per company procedures.
* Follow the Quality Management System and report non-conformances.
* Adhere to safety policies and report issues.
* Support company policies and assist in training others.
* Contribute to adopting new technologies and methods.
* Undertake additional training as required.
What you'll need to succeed
* Strong project management skills, especially in managing project programs.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to build and maintain partnerships with suppliers, subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders.
* Knowledge of health & safety regulations and environmental legislation.
* Proficiency in site setup and quality compliance.
* Ability to source cost-effective suppliers and training providers.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
What you'll get in return
* Salary between £40,000 and £70,000, with potential car or allowance.
* 23 days annual leave, increasing with service.
* Working hours: 8-5 Monday to Thursday, 8-3 Fridays.
