About the role
Working for our subsidiary company Sparks Teaching Services as a Football Coach, you'll be responsible for the planning, delivery, and organisation of high-quality football coaching sessions for students enrolled in the course at the College, in partnership with the KW" Academy. The role involves working collaboratively to develop student athletes, both technically and personally, supporting progression into elite sport, further education, or employment.
This is a temporary position until 26th of June 2026.
Main Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging, safe, and progressive football coaching sessions to students aged 16–19.
* Plan and coordinate weekly training schedules, fixtures, and competitive games in collaboration with KW2 Academy staff and The Sheffield College curriculum team.
* Monitor player development, performance, and welfare, ensuring holistic support for each student-athlete.
* Contribute to player reviews, individual development plans (IDPs), and ensure progress is regularly tracked and recorded.
* Support the academic and pastoral development of students by working closely with college staff.
* Organise and manage travel, equipment, and logistics for training and match days.
* Promote professionalism, discipline, and a positive team culture among players.
* Attend relevant meetings, CPD opportunities, and represent the programme positively at internal and external events.
* Comply with safeguarding, health and safety, and equality and diversity policies of both The Sheffield College and KW2 Academy.
