We are partnering with forward-thinking and inclusive secondary schools across Northampton that are seeking dynamic Science Teachers for a September 2026 or April 2026 start. These full-time roles are available as either contract or permanent positions, providing an excellent opportunity to teach in well-resourced departments, collaborate with supportive colleagues, and make a meaningful impact on students' learning.
About the Role:
* Deliver engaging, high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 teaching available depending on experience)
* Plan creative and inclusive lessons to support students of all abilities in developing scientific understanding
* Use practical experiments and investigations to bring Science to life
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement
* Participate in departmental planning, enrichment activities, science clubs, trips, and STEM events
* Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to whole-school improvement
We're Looking For:
* A qualified teacher with QTS/QTLS (or equivalent) and a specialism in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science
* Strong subject knowledge and understanding of effective teaching strategies
* Ability to inspire students and make Science accessible and engaging
* Commitment to high standards, student achievement, and fostering curiosity
* Excellent classroom management, organisational skills, and a collaborative approach
