Role: Head of Procurement

Salary: Band 8C: £76,965 to £88,682
Hybrid up to 3 days a week onsite

Sellick Partnership is partnering with an NHS organisation to recruit a Head of Procurement on a permanent basis.
The responsibilities of the Head of Procurement will be:
* Leading the strategic execution and continued development of a customer focused procurement service across the organisation and an additional regional partner service.
* Developing and delivering the organisation’s procurement strategy and annual workplan.
* Building strong, collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders to ensure procurement activity supports financial improvement plans.
* Ensuring compliance with UK procurement legislation, public sector financial regulations and national procurement standards.
* Leading national and regional collaborative procurement initiatives to support strategic objectives.
* Driving sustainable sourcing practices aligned to environmental and carbon reduction targets.
* Managing, coaching and developing the procurement team to ensure high quality performance.
* Overseeing contract and supplier performance management to maximise value, quality and efficiency.
* Leading procurement reporting, systems development and governance improvements.
* Representing the organisation at regional and national procurement forums.
The ideal candidate for the Head of Procurement role will have:
* Full MCIPS qualification achieved via exam route.
* Significant post qualification experience at Head of Procurement level or in an equivalent senior leadership role.
* Specialist experience in public sector procurement, ideally within health or emergency services environments.
* Expert knowledge of procurement and supply chain legislation, policies and best practice
* Strong strategic leadership skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
* Demonstrable experience delivering complex procurement strategies and managing high value tender processes.
* Experience leading and developing high performing procurement teams.
* Excellent analytical, organisational and problem solving skills.
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
