At Babcock, we’re working to create a safe and secure world. Join us as a Vehicle Mechanic Assessor - Coach within our Land Training division.
The role:
As a Vehicle Mechanic Assessor - Coach, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the British Army's equipment through fleet management and assessment of vehicle mechanics.
Day to day, you’ll visit learners in their workplaces, using your vocational experience to deliver training, coaching, assessing, and supporting them to achieve their Apprenticeships.
* Support, motivate, and coach learners through their apprenticeship programs, ensuring timely completion and compliance with standards.
* Monitor and review learners' progress in line with customer expectations.
* Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on time.
* Provide guidance on portfolio building based on program requirements.
* Record, plan, and track learner progress effectively.
This full-time, 35-hour weekly role is fully remote with travel to locations including Folkstone, Maidstone, Southampton, Chichester, Aldershot, Windsor, and Sandhurst four days per week. Flexible working options may be available.
Essential experience:
* Extensive experience in vehicle mechanics.
* Understanding of work-based learning programs.
* Experience in the defence sector (preferred but not essential).
Qualifications:
* Industry-related qualification (Vehicle Mechanic Level 3 minimum).
* Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (desirable).
* Certificate in Education & Training or equivalent.
* GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).

Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must obtain and maintain Security Check (SC), Enhanced DBS, and Child Barring Service (EDBSCBL) clearance.
