My client are on the lookout for a proactive, customer-focused 3rd Line IT Support Consultant to join their growing team! This is a dynamic role combining remote, office, and on-site support across Oxfordshire and the Midlands. You’ll be part of a friendly, fast-moving team, handling BAU support, major projects, and technical leadership.
What You’ll Be Doing:
✅ Deliver top-tier customer service – always!
âś… Provide expert on-site, remote, and phone support
âś… Manage and improve IT processes, infrastructure, and security
âś… Lead and implement major IT projects
âś… Research, test, and evaluate emerging technologies
âś… Act as an escalation point for 1st & 2nd line support
âś… Work with 3rd-party vendors to resolve complex issues
âś… Keep documentation sharp and up-to-date
âś… Mentor and guide junior team members
What They’re Looking For:
âś” Essential Skills:
* Strong communication and customer service mindset
* Proven troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced environment
* Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune
* Windows Server, Exchange, Hyper-V
* Networking (VLAN, VPN, Firewalls, WatchGuard, Meraki, Ubiquiti, VOIP)
* Security solutions (Sophos, Cisco Umbrella)
* Hardware support (Dell, HP, Lenovo)
* A full UK driving licence
âś” Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):
* Degree in IT or related field
* 4+ years in a similar role (preferably MSP)
* MCSA, Azure, or Microsoft 365 certifications
* ITIL Foundation
* VMware vSphere, SAN, iSCSI experience
