CIS Security have an exciting opportunity available for a Security Officer based in Bedford in a warehouse and distribution setting, who will be an ambassador to represent CIS Security who will demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our customers and service users Information: Position: Security Officer Location: Bedford Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour Hours: Average 42 hours per week Shifts: Days & Nights - 4 on 4 off Job Requirements: SIA Licence required Security experience is required of a minimum of 1 year Must have good command of English language Good levels of customer service, communication both written & verbal Must be flexible and be able to work; days, nights, weekends and have the flexibility to change shifts due to operational needs Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site. Maintains working knowledge of the locations & security & safety for assigned areas Flexible in the approach to daily duties First Aid qualification & a CCTV SIA Licence is a bonus To have a smart appearance befitting the company Be confident you can undertake 100% of all specific duties Be able to provide all the documentation and vetting information requested Job Responsibilities: Able to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our clients and service users. Able to work in a team as well as on your own and can be pro-active and think on your feet use initiative Be calm under pressure and confident in dealing with confrontational situations in a calm and professional manner Physically fit to complete patrols internally and externally and able to stand/walk during shift Confident in writing incident and shift reports The ability to be pro-active and think on your feet use initiative To always portray a friendly, professional and courteous demeanour, using open and appropriate body language. To ensure that all visitors and staff are dealt with efficiently, providing an exceptional customer service ensuring that their expectations are met, if not exceeded. The role includes you to conduct opening & closing procedures of a building, patrolling, reception duties, access control, answering incoming telephone calls, Conducting emergency procedures. You will be part of a team seeing this site through from refurbishment to business as usual and must be comfortable working on a construction site moving into an office environment.
