Vacancy Information

The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week). Part-time hours will be pro-rated accordingly.

Post 1 - St. Gabriel's RC Primary School, 17.11 hours per week.
Days and Hours of Work:
Working 2 days per week between Monday - Thursday, working times to be confirmed.
To start 11th August 2025.

We are looking for a someone to provide PE provision at St Gabriel's RC Primary School. We invite candidates who are enthusiastic about PE and are keen to encourage participation. We have been developing a whole school approach to play pedagogy and outdoor learning, and would welcome all candidates who are keen to support and enhance this work across our school community.

\n

As this is a permanent post in a catholic school, Catholic approval would be required for the successful candidate. Candidates applying for this post should seek advice on approval procedures for working in a Roman Catholic School. Post 2 - Cockenzie Primary School, 16.85 hours per week.

We are looking for a someone to provide PE provision at Cockenzie Primary School.

\n

Cockenzie Primary School is a school with approx. 420 children in our nursery and primary classes. We are looking for an excellent teacher to join our amazing team. Our values of Curious, Positive, Successful and Respectful are embedded throughout our school and we are searching for a teacher who displays these values.

Job Details

To teach a designated subject (Music/Physical Education/Art or Modern Languages) in line with Curriculum for Excellence.

• Teach assigned classes in line with Curriculum for Excellence.
• Prepare lessons and courses.
• Undertake development of the curriculum.
• Contribute to the assessment and reporting on the work of pupils.
• Contribute to the professional development of colleagues.
• Consult with and assist colleagues on subject specific education issues.
• Participate in the organisation of the school to contribute to the school development
• Plan and school policies as considered appropriate by the Head Teacher.
• Maintain good order and discipline among pupils and to safeguard their health and safety.
• Advise and guide pupils on issues related to their education.
• Work co-operatively as part of a team.
