Day Services Admin Assistant — Temporary Role, ~22.5 hrs/week (approx. 3 days per week)

About the Role
We are working with an Ofsted‑rated further education college in South Yorkshire which is looking to recruit a Day Services Administrator on a temporary basis. The role supports learners with additional needs and
liaises closely with staff, learners, families, and external employers.
As part of the day‑services team, you will:
Maintain accurate learner audit records and profiles
Prepare reports and update the college’s learner database
Schedule and book lifelong‑learning assessments in line with manager availability
Act as a point of contact for learners and their families
Liaise with employers regarding work placements and monitor learners while on placement
Conduct welfare checks and provide basic pastoral/admin support Hours: 22.5 hours per week — 08 : 30–16 : 30.
Own transport is essential
Who We’re Looking For
Required:
A qualification in health & social care or administration, or equivalent experience
GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
A full UK driving licence and access to a car
Experience working in a care, SEND, or educational setting
Strong organisational skills, including record‑keeping and reporting
A caring, respectful, and professional manner with strong interpersonal skills Desirable:
Experience supporting learners with disabilities, challenging behaviours, or additional needs
Knowledge of audit processes and experience with learner management systems
Familiarity with lifelong learning assessments or progress tracking tools
Previous liaison with external employers or families regarding learner progress What We Offer
