About the role
It's an exciting time to join the Commercial Claims team here at AXA as a Casualty Claims Handler. You'll use your thorough product knowledge along with your advanced negotiation skills and tactics, to make accurate and pragmatic policy and legal liability decisions.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
What you'll be doing:
1. Dealing mainly through Brokers, you'll be proactively managing a portfolio of claims up to £100K.
2. Carrying out comprehensive investigations into policy and legal liability for all newly allocated EL, PL and Disease claims in order to successfully negotiate a cost effective and speedy resolution.
3. Providing excellent customer service, whilst having a logical and measured approach to all tasks.
4. Dealing confidently and tactfully with people over the phone.
5. Be an active and visible coach, focusing on working closely with the team to focus on development.
About you
What we’re looking for:
6. Proven negotiation skills and use of tactics in managing EL, PL and Disease claims.
7. Experience of having a strong proactive approach to manage own caseload and commitment to customer service.
8. Able to make accurate and pragmatic policy and legal liability decisions.
9. Detailed end to end knowledge of the claims process.
10. Strong quantum assessment skills and working knowledge of litigation procedures.
11. Developed communication skills.
