Client Services Director - Sensory and Consumer Science
Full-time position
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Client Services Director is responsible and accountable for all accounts in the cluster, strategic and financial planning, business development, project delivery, and team management.
Responsibilities
* Client Management:
o Lead account strategy and business development
o Set long‑term goals and ensure alignment with organisational objectives
o Collaborate with other departments and clusters to identify needs and opportunities and improve collaboration
* Revenue:
o Ensure accounts meet revenue targets and profitability
o Manage overall revenue of approximately €7M+
* Project Management:
o Supervise research teams to deliver projects on time and with high quality standards
o Support research teams during client meetings and complex or strategic research proposals or tenders
* People:
o Manage at least 10 team members directly or indirectly
o Mentor teams in research skills and career development
o Manage team budget and resources
Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years higher education with knowledge in market research and/or sensory research
* Knowledge of food and/or cosmetic products, quantitative consumer research methodologies, sensory methodologies and statistics
* Significant experience in a Research manager role at SAM or other companies
* Experience leading and mentoring research teams
* Skills in managing budgets
* Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French
* Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
* Strong leadership abilities to manage teams and oversee large-scale research initiatives
* Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills
