Location: Glasgow – Govan and Scotstoun. The role is based on site and candidates must attend a recruitment day in Glasgow.
Salary: £38,662.00 (additional shift allowance of 33% may be applicable).
What You’ll Be Doing
* Fabricating and installing pipework systems in large and small‑bore pipework using different materials (copper, copper, carbon steel and stainless steel).
* Using a range of hand tools and mechanical equipment to cut, bend and weld pipes, and installing pipework.
* Installing utilities aboard ship (sinks, showers and toilets).
* Installing and assembling fittings, valves and related components according to drawings and specifications.
* Collaborating with other trades to ensure the timely and accurate completion of projects.
* Adhering to safety regulations and company procedures at all times.
* Maintaining accurate records of work carried out.
Essential
* Modern Apprenticeship certificate/Trade Papers (must be provided) and relevant qualifications (e.g., SVQ3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
* Current knowledge and experience of pipe manufacture, installation and use of associated equipment.
* Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques, tools and safety standards.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* Clear understanding of SHE, COSHH and Risk Assessments.
* Proven experience as a Pipefitter or similar within an industrial or commercial environment.
Desirable
* Marine Pipefitting Experience.
* Experience in industrial or commercial settings preferred.
* Understanding of manufacturing processes.
* Experience in TIG Pipe Welding.

The Pipefitter Team
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pipefitter to join our team in Clyde. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and installing piping systems across a range of projects in the defence sector, ensuring efficient operation of piping installations while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
