Welsh-Speaking 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Morning Role!
Location: Bridgend
Hours: 08:30 – 12:30, Monday to Friday
Pay: £55 per morning (paid weekly)
Start Date: September 1st
Are you fluent in Welsh and passionate about supporting children with additional needs? We’re working with a welcoming primary school in Bridgend that is looking for a Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 2 pupil diagnosed with ASD. This rewarding, part-time role is perfect for someone with a nurturing nature and a calm, consistent approach.
Your Role:
• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil with an ASD diagnosis
• Support the pupil’s social, emotional, and educational development in the classroom
• Work closely with the class teacher and ALNCo to implement individual learning strategies
• Create a safe, positive environment that promotes confidence and independence
• Maintain consistent routines and clear communication
What We’re Looking For:
• Fluency in Welsh (essential)
• Experience supporting children with additional learning needs, ideally ASD
• Patience, empathy, and a calm, supportive approach
• Flexibility, reliability, and good communication skills
• A genuine passion for helping children thrive

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
