Working across the South Midlands with a small team you will hold ultimate responsibility for the development of new business opportunities and managing existing clients & pipeline for specification of seating solutions across Theatre, Education & Auditorium sectors with extremely close collaboration with the Design Department – owning the projects fully from Start to End with sole focus to win & close every project.
Main responsibilities include:
* To identify and build strong business relationships with new specifiers and purchasers that will significantly develop the company's customer portfolio
* To maintain very strong relationships with existing specifiers and purchasers to identify and secure significant business growth opportunities
* To develop a clear and progressive business development plan with appropriate financial metrics that is in line with the company’s growth objectives
* Ensure that relevant & detailed client information is obtained and maintained to ensure the company can communicate and engage as required
* To effectively communicate and work constructively with all colleagues to ensure the business runs smoothly and effectively
* To capture all relevant data to maintain the pipeline for reporting forecasting & production purposes
* To capture all relevant information relating to a project or opportunity to ensure that it can be fulfilled fully and effectively in line with the customers requirement
* Capture, document and follow up all customer enquiries to ensure all sales opportunities are maximized
* Responsibility for internal communications of sales pipeline for aligned customer base to ensure the cohesion of all teams to the customer requirements
* Execution of the agreed sales strategy
* Provide market feedback that will contribute to the on-going development of the company's position in the market
* Articulate and develop the desired customer experience to drives loyalty and maximise customer potential.
* Lead and create an organisation-wide focus on the customer.
* Lead organisation wide co-operation to develop a clear customer value proposition, and identifying strategic opportunities for innovation.
* Contribute to the development of the company's product portfolio to ensure it is relevant and provides FDA to customers
* Ensure that all associated clients are kept fully aware of the company's product and service capabilities
* Ensure that the company's profit margin is maximised at all times while ensuring that the correct solution is provided for the specifier & customer
* In conjunction with the product development team, identify future market / product trends that will positively influence the relevance and development of our portfolio.
* Establish a clear product proposition story that articulates the product / service USP’s.
* Overall responsibility for the designated sales target.
Ideal candidates will have the below experience:
* An understanding of the route to market for contracts through A&D, Specialist (Theatre) Consultants, Specifiers, Clients and Contractors. Ideally within the Auditorium and Theatre sectors although not limited to this.
* A portfolio of contacts within the specifying and purchasing community, ideally involved with fixed seating sectors would be considered an advantage.
* Experience in winning Projects from key specifiers and purchasers through the ability to influence key stakeholders.
* Proven track record with new business development and high conversion rate of projects
* Account management experience showing continued growth and capability to build a strong sales pipeline.
* The ability to identify, pursue and capitalise on new opportunities from a standing start
