As a Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of Technicians, ensuring targets are met and customers are satisfied. Your daily tasks will include maintaining, calibrating, repairing, and preparing equipment for hire, as well as completing customer calibrations.
Daily Tasks will include:
* Managing workshop operations, auditing, and record keeping.
* Supervising calibration technicians.
* Assigning tasks and prioritizing work based on urgency and importance.
* Updating the training matrix in coordination with the training department.
* Ensuring all team members are informed about company policies.
* Prioritizing equipment repairs for scheduled hires or high-demand items.
* Ordering spares and consumables.
* Maintaining calibration standards and records.
* Ensuring timely and proper delivery of hires.
* Distributing hire orders to relevant departments.
* Handling customer inquiries when possible.
* Managing spares stock.
* Keeping the workshop clean, compliant, and organized.
* Working Monday to Friday, with weekend and overtime as needed.
* Traveling to different depots when required.

To succeed as a Workshop Supervisor, you should have:
* Experience managing and developing a team in a workshop environment.
* Experience maintaining calibration equipment.
* A track record of achieving targets within budgets.
* Knowledge of electrical testing equipment.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication skills and IT literacy.
* Qualification to NVQ Plant Maintenance Level 3 or willingness to obtain it.
