East Riding of Yorkshire Council currently has 5 registered children’s homes in operation, all rated Good or Outstanding with Ofsted. A further 5 are planned to open in the coming months, increasing our capacity from 9 beds to 19 beds.
Reporting to the Head of Service, you will lead by delivering strategic direction of these 1, 2 and 4 bed homes which are designed to deliver bespoke care for some of our most vulnerable young people.
Each home is managed by a registered children’s home manager who will report directly to the area manager and manage the day-to-day operations and care delivery.
The development of our small cluster of children’s homes has proven to be greatly successful and has helped us to provide stability and support in the lives of young people to remain in their own community of East Riding of Yorkshire. This is an opportunity to play a lead role as we expand our portfolio of residential estates.
Ideally, you will have passion for working with children and experience of managing budgets and large teams at Service Manager level together with excellent knowledge of the Care Standards Act 2000 and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015. This is an excellent time to join the team during our expansion and you will help to shape our offer.

Based at County Hall, Beverley for 37 hours per week.
