Up to £58,000, depending on skills and experience. What You'll Be Doing:
As a Principal Naval Architect, you'll leverage your specialized knowledge to undertake engineering activities assigned by the Project Lead Engineer or Naval Architect. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that all projects meet relevant processes and quality requirements. Depending on the project, you will: Assure drydockings of ships Conduct ship stability and hydromechanic analysis Perform structural design and analysis for various materials, including metals and composites Conduct design or material state surveys Manage complex engineering changes Create and assure structural repair plans for metals or composites Maintain Naval Architecture design intent and compliance Ensure Naval Authority Key Hazard Certification is upheld Provide tasking and technical oversight to naval architects and engineers Lead the management of stability and watertight integrity compliance Your Skills and Experiences:
Degree qualified, with an MEng in Naval Architecture, Marine Technology, or Ship Science Chartered Engineer status or a clear path to achieving it within a defined timeframe Proven experience in naval architecture and engineering Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Working Conditions:
