£13.70 - £15.05 per hour

Supply Desk is seeking a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work two mornings per week at a welcoming primary school in Brighton, starting in September.
This part-time role involves working closely with a child who has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), providing tailored support with communication, emotional regulation, and learning access.
You'll help create a positive and consistent routine, using proven strategies for engagement and behaviour, while working alongside experienced staff to ensure the child receives the support they need to thrive.
Key Skills & Experience:
Experience supporting children with SEN such as Autism (ASD), speech & language needs, or social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties
Understanding of EHCPs, inclusive education, and adaptive teaching techniques
Comfortable using visual or alternative communication tools
A nurturing and patient approach, with a proactive and reliable attitude
Able to work effectively within a collaborative team

Recent references covering the last 2 years
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Previous experience working with children is preferred
