The Role
As a Senior CDM / H&S Consultant, you will take responsibility for managing client relationships and delivering CDM Principal Designer and health & safety advisory services across a diverse project portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Delivering CDM Principal Designer services across multiple projects
2. Leading and reviewing design risk management throughout RIBA stages
3. Preparing and reviewing Pre‑Construction Information (PCI) and related documentation
4. Providingpetent, pragmatic health & safety advice to clients and project teams
5. Carrying out site inspections and audits
6. Liaising confidently with designers, contractors, and client stakeholders
7. Supporting and mentoring junior team members
8. Contributing to continuous improvement and future consultancy growth
This is a client‑facing role, offering autonomy, trust, and influence from the outset.
About YouThis opportunity would suit an established CDM professional or someone with significant construction safety background,mercially aware, and ready to take the next step towards senior leadership.
You will ideally have:
9. Proven experience operating as a CDM Consultant / Principal Designer
10. Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015
11. A strong background in machinery safety
12. Experience supporting clients across multiple construction sectors
13. NEBOSH Construction or equivalent (Diploma desirable but not essential)
14. Professional membership IOSH / APS / working towards CMIOSH
15. Confidentmunication skills and the credibility to advise clients directly
16. An interest in long‑term progression into senior management or Director level
