Calvin Christian High School is seeking an energetic and passionate Boys’ Varsity Baseball Coach who loves Jesus Christ and is committed to sharing that love through coaching young men. The coach will lead the program, develop goals aligning with the school's mission and values, evaluate students’ performance, build skills, communicate with players, parents, and administration, and promote good sportsmanship.
Baseball Coach Responsibilities:
* Build positive relationships with players, staff, parents, and the community
* Serve as a role model for coaches, students, and parents
* Mentor players in their faith journey
* Demonstrate sportsmanship and appropriate conduct
* Assess students’ baseball skills and identify areas for improvement
* Help students develop their skills as players and teammates
* Develop training programs tailored to students’ age, goals, and skills
* Organize practices, off-season workouts, conditioning, camps, and meetings
* Create a comprehensive youth baseball program for grades 7-12, integrating all levels
* Build relationships with feeder elementary and middle schools and develop camps for future players
* Identify effective learning styles and adapt coaching methods accordingly
* Ensure a safe and productive learning environment
* Establish practice schedules and activities for individual and team development
