A vacancy has arisen at White Medical Group, we are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Salaried GP to join our supportive and experienced team at White Medical Group, a dispensing practice serving approximately 8,700 patients across our main site in Ponteland and branch surgery in Wylam.
Main duties of the job
Clinicalresponsibilities
* In accordance with the practicetimetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available toundertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephoneconsultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeatprescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in atimely fashion
* Making professional, autonomousdecisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referredfrom other health care workers within the organisation
* Assessing the health care needs ofpatients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
* Screening patients for disease riskfactors and early signs of illness
* Developing care plans for health inconsultation with patients and in line with current practice disease managementprotocols
* Providing counselling and healtheducation
* Admitting or discharging patients toand from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate
* Recording clear and contemporaneousconsultation notes to agreed standards
* Compiling and issuingcomputer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-writtenprescriptions whenever possible)
* Prescribing in accordance with thepractice prescribing formulary (or generically) when clinicallyappropriate
* The normal duties and responsibilities associatedwith a GP working within primary care.

Job Summary Toprovide the full range of general practitioner services, including on callavailability and extended opening hours, to the patients of White MedicalGroup.
MAINRESPONSIBILITIES
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range ofhealth needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of carefor all registered and temporary patients.

* Familiarity with clinical coding, disease registers, and chronic disease management
* Strong documentation and IT skills, including use of electronic patient records
* Experience working in NHS general practice in the UK
* Experience of clinical audit, QOF, or quality improvement projects
* Familiarity with EMIS or similar clinical systems
* Previous involvement in teaching, supervision, or mentoring of junior staff or students
Qualifications
