Salary: £32,070 - £34,359 per annum (pro-rata for part-time)

Working Hours: 1 x 37 hours per week & 1x 18.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated Post Order Team as we are currently recruiting one full-time and one part-time Permanent Support Worker position.

In this rewarding role, you'll work directly with adopted children, their families, and Special Guardianship families, providing meaningful, relationship based support that makes a real difference every day.

About the role

You'll become part of a warm, supportive, multi disciplinary team that includes experienced Senior Practitioners, Social Workers, Therapists, and an Adoption & Special Guardianship Funding Coordinator.

Together, we collaborate to provide high quality, therapeutic support to families who need it most.

In this varied and fulfilling role, you will:

* Support families to navigate the unique challenges of adoption or Special Guardianship.
* Offer advice and guidance via our duty system.
* To promote our post order support services, keep accurate data, reports and records of who has used the service.
* Assess therapeutic needs and prepare applications to the Adoption & Special Guardianship Support Fund
* Plan and deliver engaging children's groups, coffee mornings, workshops, and family events.
* Develop and deliver training that empowers carers and strengthens families.
* To provide one to one support to families who are referred for post adoption/post order support.

About You

To apply for this post, you must be able to evidence in your application how you meet the following criteria:

* A' Level or Demonstrable experience identified within the section below.
* Knowledge of key local government issues associated with the role and how these affect local government and partners in strategic development
* Number of years post-qualification experience within children's services, including child protection experience
* Knowledge of the Adoption Support Fund and how this can to utilised to support families where there are support needs post order.
* Experience of working within health, education, or looked after children settings, to deliver therapeutic services to families experiencing adverse stresses and where placement stresses and risks of breakdown are present.
* Ability to work under own initiative as well as be a strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to identify and manage risk, including that for staff and service users.
* The use of Microsoft Office or similar software package
