Deputy Manager – Children's Residential Home

We're currently looking for a Deputy Manager. his role supports the Registered Manager and is ideal for someone with experience in residential childcare who wants to step up or continue making a difference at a leadership level.
What You'll Be Doing:
In this leadership position, you'll work closely with the Registered Manager to support the daily operation of the home. Your focus will be on maintaining high standards, empowering your team, and making sure the children and young people receive the care and support they deserve.
Your core duties will include:
* Assisting with budgeting and resource allocation across the home
* Inspiring and leading a team to deliver compassionate, consistent care
* Maintaining compliance with care regulations and Ofsted frameworks
* Managing staff training, development, and performance
* Coordinating and reviewing tailored care plans for each young person
* Creating and upholding a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
* Championing continuous improvement and operational effectiveness
What You'll Bring:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or a commitment to work towards it
* Minimum of two years in a supervisory capacity in children's residential care
* Prior experience as a Deputy Manager is beneficial but not essential
* Familiarity with safeguarding, child protection, and Ofsted standards
* Strong leadership skills and a motivating presence
* Ability to manage multiple tasks with confidence and organisation
* Competence with IT systems and digital documentation
