Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Full Time Hours

A vibrant and welcoming primary school in Rochdale, OL11 is looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team for a full time position. ECTs are encouraged to apply as the school offers a great training programme where you will be enrolled into a Teacher position if successful. So far this year 5 of our ECTs have worked as HLTA's and 4 have successfully stepped into a Teacher role or have been offered a Teacher role for next September.
Responsibilities
* Support classroom learning and assist with lesson delivery, providing tailored support for students.
* Work closely with teaching staff to implement plans for students with additional needs.
* Lead small group activities and offer one-to-one support as required.
* Contribute to monitoring and assessment of students' progress.
* Maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
* Responsible for 20-40% of classroom teaching where required.
Qualifications
* HLTA qualification or equivalent (experience with children in a school environment).
* ECTs are encouraged to apply.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and use initiative.
* Passion for helping children succeed academically and socially.
