The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee depot and traffic management operations in Gloucester. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high safety standards, and supporting the smooth delivery of works across multiple sites.
This position would suit a proactive and organised individual with strong supervisory experience within traffic management, who thrives in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the Depot Manager in the day-to-day running of depot and traffic management operations
2. Assist with short- and long-term planning to ensure all sites are installed and maintained to required standards
3. Deputise for the Depot Manager during periods of absence
4. Conduct regular site visits, audits, and depot inspections to ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company standards, and customer KPIs
5. Lead, brief, and support operatives, ensuring full adherence to RAMS, SOPs, PPE requirements, and safe systems of work
6. Promote and embed a strong Health & Safety culture across all operations
7. Oversee vehicle and equipment checks, ensuring defects are reported and resolved promptly
8. Manage customer queries and complaints professionally, ensuring timely resolution
9. Monitor labour, plant, and depot performance to drive operational efficiency
10. Ensure accurate completion of all paperwork, digital records, and performance reporting
11. Participate in an out-of-hours rota to maintain 24/7 operational coverage
12. Support incident and near-miss reporting and investigations
13. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and complete ongoing CPD and required training

Technical Skills & Experience
21. Minimum 1 year’s experience in a supervisory role within traffic management
22. Experience across all aspects of 12D traffic management
Qualifications
23. CSCS Card
24. Lantra 12D M1, M2, M3, M5 & M6
25. Full UK Driving Licence
