Head of Curriculum and Quality – Health and Social Care
Salary: £57, per annum (Promoted Academic Band 2)

We are seeking an experienced and inspiring educational leader to take on the role of Head of Curriculum and Quality within the department of Health and Social Care.
You will have a strong track record in leading high-quality learning and teaching and be passionate about shaping and delivering an ambitious curriculum that meets the needs of learners and communities.
In this role, you will provide clear leadership and direction to your Curriculum and Quality Leaders, acting as first line manager for all department staff. You will foster a collaborative, learner focused culture that drives continuous improvement and innovation across the curriculum.
You will have the analytical and horizon scanning skills needed to develop your curriculum area effectively, engaging, motivating and involving your team to deliver innovative, effective, successful and sustainable learning that meets the learner, regional and commercial needs of your subject areas.
Educated to degree level (SCQF level 9) in a relevant subject area and holding a teaching qualification, you will demonstrate a strong background in educational leadership, with clear evidence of success in recent roles. While experience in Health and Social Care is valuable, we are also interested to hear from candidates who bring a broader educational perspective and a proven ability to lead curriculum development and quality enhancement.

You must also be able to demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, networking and presentation skills, supported by excellent ICT skills and the flexibility, commitment and track record needed to lead innovative curricular change; manage and develop staff; plan and oversee resources; achieve commercial targets; and ensure the delivery of high-quality learning, teaching and related services.
