GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a friendly and inclusive school in Bognor Regis. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide essential support to pupils, helping them reach their full potential both academically and emotionally.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils with a variety of special educational needs, such as Autism, ADHD, and learning or communication difficulties.
* Deliver one-to-one and small group support to help pupils access the curriculum effectively.
* Collaborate with class teachers and SENCOs to develop and implement personalised learning plans.
* Encourage positive behaviour, emotional resilience, and independence.
* Contribute to creating a calm, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
* Observe and record pupil progress to help inform future planning and interventions.
Requirements for SEND TA:
* Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable but not essential.
* A caring, patient, and adaptable attitude when working with children with additional needs.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A passion for supporting young learners to succeed in both learning and life skills.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
