About the Role:
As a Long-Term Sickness Cover Teacher, you will take responsibility for KS3 classes, delivering planned schemes of work while maintaining routines, behaviour standards, and academic momentum. Key Responsibilities as a Long-Term Sickness Cover Teacher:
KS3 Instruction: Deliver structured, engaging lessons aligned with existing curriculum plans.
Classroom Leadership: Maintain firm routines, clear boundaries, and consistent expectations.
Behaviour Management: Apply established behaviour frameworks with confidence and authority.
Progress Monitoring: Track academic progress, engagement, and behaviour accurately.
Professional Coordination: Work effectively with support staff, heads of department, and senior leadership.To succeed as a Long-Term Sickness Cover Teacher, you will need:
Proven experience teaching KS3 in mainstream, SEMH, or alternative provision settings.
