Aqua Operations Ltd provides operational and technical consultancy to the domestic wastewater and industrial effluent treatment sectors. Services include rapid assessment of optimum solutions, automated engineering, detailed design, commercial engineering, and process commissioning.
Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to provide practical and technical support for environmental consultancy projects on commercial, industrial, municipal wastewater and sludge processing projects. The role involves a mix of field, office and lab work, including collection and analysis of samples, data interpretation, development of scientific reports, and presentation of findings to clients.
Responsibilities
Operational and Commissioning Support – provide on‑site and desk‑based technical process support for operational, commissioning and process consultancy projects as required.
Project Management – manage all aspects of assigned projects: develop proposals, produce RAMS, manage resources, time, contractors, client relationships and financial aspects.
QHSE Support – assist the QHSE manager with the development, implementation and continuous improvement of standard procedures and quality systems.
Business Development – develop a network of existing and new clients and manage client relationships to support business growth strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
* Full clean driver’s licence and access to own vehicle.
* BSc or BEng (minimum) in a relevant field.
* At least 2 years relevant industry experience.
* Strong theoretical knowledge in water/wastewater chemistry, microbiology, and engineering.
* Practical experience working on industrial or water utility sites.
* Project Management experience.
* Excellent communication skills, with confidence in client and team presentations.
* Good awareness of H&S requirements for site work (RAMS, permits, inductions).
* Previous customer‑facing roles in a professional setting.
* Experience developing SOPs.
* Understanding of site engineering (pumps, mixers, aeration systems, mechanics, control philosophies).
Preferred Skills and Experience
* Experience developing and undertaking laboratory methods.
* Strong report‑writing skills.
* Business development skills.
Travel Requirements
Willingness to travel to a range of sites throughout the UK, with occasional short periods away from the home base.
