As Associate Director of Nursing (ADoN) you will provide senior leadership within the Urgent & Emergency Care Department, working cohesively within the Triumvirate of the department.
* Responsible for the development and application of systems, control processes and risk management arrangements that ensure full compliance with internal and external governance procedures and benchmark against best practice requirements.
* Work with the division to develop the strategic direction and vision which maximises business efficiency, effectiveness, flexibility and staff morale.
* Support the development of a culture within the ED, which is open and transparent and supports and empowers innovation, creativity and learning at all levels.
* Accountable for the direct delivery of safe, effective clinical care and advise the Divisional Management Team on professional nursing and other clinical staff group issues. The postholder will be the Divisional lead and link for both the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and the Director of Nursing on all nursing related matters.
* Work with senior managers across the organisation to ensure effective patient flow, including effective use of beds whilst maintaining quality of care. The post holder will participate in the tactical on‑call rota.
