Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Permanent Motor Mechanic / MOT Tester to join a well-established, independently run car garage located in Dundee. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and reliable individual to become part of a friendly and professional team.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 08:30 - 17:00. No weekend work
Salary
£15 per hour and above, depending on experience
Responsibilities
* Performing routine vehicle maintenance and repairs to a high standard
* Conducting MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations
* Diagnosing faults and carrying out necessary repairs efficiently
* Ensuring all work is completed in a timely manner and meets safety standards
* Maintaining accurate records of work carried out and parts used
* Providing excellent customer service and communicating clearly with clients
Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
* Valid MOT Tester certification (preferred but not essential)
* Proven experience in a similar role
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Full UK driving licence
