SEND Class Teacher – Permanent Role (MPS SEN1 Allowance) Location: Wiltshire area Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Main Pay Scale SEN1 Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier by negotiation) We are working in partnership with a specialist provision that supports young people with Autism, Social Communication and Interaction Difficulties, and associated behaviours. This well-regarded setting is seeking a committed SEND Class Teacher to join their team and lead a class of pupils with complex needs, supported by a team of Teaching Assistants. The Role: As a Class Teacher, you’ll: Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that engage and support pupils with a wide range of learning, emotional and communication needs Lead a team of Teaching Assistants, ensuring effective classroom support and collaborative working Create a safe, stimulating and structured learning environment tailored to individual pupil needs Plan and evaluate personalised learning and behavioural targets, in line with EHCP outcomes Build strong relationships with families and external agencies to support student progress and wellbeing Support school development initiatives and contribute to the strategic vision of the leadership team About You: You will be a passionate, resilient educator with: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience teaching pupils with SEND, either in a special school or a mainstream setting A strong understanding of Autism and/or Social Communication Difficulties Confidence managing behaviour positively and supportively The ability to lead a small classroom team and collaborate effectively with colleagues and external professionals A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice Desirable (but not essential): Additional qualifications or training related to SEND Experience teaching KS3, KS4 or KS5 curriculum Familiarity with EHCP processes, annual reviews and multi-agency collaboration Why Join This Provision?
