Location: Specialist School Setting
Hours: 29.25 hours per week (Mon 9:15am-4:00pm | Tues-Fri 9:15am-3:30pm)
Thrive Recruitment Group is currently seeking Specialist Learning Support Assistants to join a dedicated SEN school supporting children and young people aged 4-19 with severe and complex learning difficulties.

As a Specialist Learning Support Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils both in and out of the classroom
* Assist with the delivery of individual learning plans (IEPs/EHCPs)
* Implement tailored teaching strategies under the direction of the class teacher
* Provide 1:1 and small group support
* Support pupils with personal care and daily routines, where required
* Encourage social interaction, communication, and emotional development
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and external professionals
* Help create a calm, inclusive, and positive learning environment
You will play a vital role in ensuring each learner feels safe, understood, and empowered to make progress.
We are looking for individuals who are:
* Calm, patient, and adaptable
* Enthusiastic with a genuine interest in supporting learners with SEN
* Confident working as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Resilient and positive, with a good sense of humour
* Committed to safeguarding and inclusive education
A Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) is desirable. However, motivated candidates who are willing to work towards a qualification during their probation period are encouraged to apply.
