Clinical Psychologist / Psychological Therapist
Join Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust as a Band 7 Clinical Psychologist / Psychological Therapist in the Central Manchester Early Intervention team. This role supports individuals experiencing or at risk of experiencing a first episode of psychosis, providing therapy and integral multidisciplinary care.
Job Summary
Deliver high‑quality individual therapy, conduct assessments, facilitate family‑focused interventions, and provide support, advice, occasional training and supervision to colleagues. Emphasis on CBTp and Behavioural Family Therapy, with a broad range of therapeutic modalities acceptable.
Responsibilities
* Provide individual therapy (CBTp, Behavioural Family Therapy and other modalities).
* Contribute to assessments and multidisciplinary team meetings.
* Offer training, advice and supervision to colleagues.
* Manage own working week with autonomy and flexibility, supporting a positive work/life balance.
* Travel across Manchester (public transport or private means) to cover the service area.
Qualifications
* Doctoral level professional qualification in Clinical/Counselling Psychology; registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
* Experience delivering Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.
* Experience working effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
* Desirable: post‑qualification experience delivering therapy to people with psychosis or in early intervention settings.
