The Opportunity
Leonardo Electronics UK is delivering a cutting-edge Integrated Planning Programme built around the deployment of Primavera P6 for enterprise-wide programme scheduling and planning. Embracing modern architecture practices, scaled delivery, and robust governance, the organisation is enhancing its IT capabilities to support growth.
We are seeking an SC cleared Solution Architect who is TOGAF certified, with a diverse skill set in SAP PS/functional, SAP integration, ecosystems, Primavera P6, and complex integration landscapes. This is a key technical leadership role focused on transforming the solution architecture across data, applications, and integration domains.
This is predominantely a remote working role with occasional travel to Edinburgh as required
In this role you will
1. Lead technical architecture for Integrated Planning programmes, guiding internal and external delivery teams.
2. Define and orchestrate the solutions strategy between Primavera P6, SAP, Dassian, WebLogic/Oracle, and supporting technologies.
3. Champion scalable solution designs aligned with key platformsEA repositories and ArchiMateAtlassian toolsets (Jira, Confluence, etc.)Business Management Systems (BMS)ITIL-aligned tooling (ServiceNow, orchestration platforms)
Governance, Standards and Assurance
4. Engage in Solution Architecture Boards (SRBs) to assure both HLDs and LLDs, document design decisions, and manage architecture waivers.
5. Define and maintain the Service Architecture roadmap in alignment with business strategy.
6. Enforce adherence to TOGAF principles, Secure by Design frameworks, and enterprise architecture governance.
7. Monitor and evaluate architecture debt and make go/no-go recommendations for solution decisions.
Strategic Execution and Oversight
8. Conduct regular assessment of current architecture and its performance in relation to strategic business deliverables.
9. Set architecture baselines for current and future releases.
10. Drive solution lifecycle activities:Define evaluation criteriaPerform feasibility studiesDevelop proofs of concept for key components of Integrated Planning solutions architectureAlign technology with end-to-end business processes and integrations
11. Provide technical direction for system architecture evolution across cloud, integration, and data platforms.
12. Design integration patterns and deployment models with a focus on scalability, stability and security.
Repository and Traceability Artifacts
Maintain complete traceability within the architectural repository, including:
13. Technical Designs - Core solution blueprint
14. Integration Catalogue - Mapped interfaces and endpoints
15. Stakeholder Matrix - Roles and responsibilities
16. Integration Patterns Used - Data and security design
17. Data Schemas - Across P6, SAP, Dassian
18. Transformation & Mapping Specs - Interoperability logic
19. Batch Job Integration Matrix - Timed orchestration
20. End-to-End Business Processes - Linked to each integration flow
Operational Oversight
21. Keep updated lists of Issues and Change Requests (CRs).
22. Define nomenclature standards for tagging and categorising incidents/tickets by system, type, and priority.
23. Engage with Engineering, Manufacturing, Data, and Technology teams to support template and interim architectures.
24. Lead virtual teams and cross-functional resources from supplier and internal ecosystems.
Candidate Profile and Essential Experience
25. 10 years in Solution Architecture roles, ideally with strong SAP functional, Integration, and Primavera P6 experience.
26. Proven expertise in transitioning multiple SAP solutions in large-scale organisations.
27. Azure IaaS/PaaS/SaaS experience in transitioning systems to Azure and integrating modern network/security/identity services.
28. Strong knowledge of Primavera P6, SAP PS, WebLogic, and enterprise architecture tooling.
29. TOGAF-certified, with hands-on experience applying the framework across transformation programmes.
30. Familiarity with ServiceNow, service discovery, and SIAM models for supplier collaboration.
31. Skilled in architectural governance, design authority boards, and secure-by-design enforcement.
32. Excellent stakeholder engagement with leadership presence and strategic agility.
