English GCSE Tutor (Online) – £25–£40+ per hour

SwotLearn is growing, and we're looking for passionate English GCSE tutors to join our online tutoring team.
We work with students across the UK and internationally, supporting GCSE and IGCSE English Language and Literature. Whether you're a qualified teacher, an experienced tutor, or a strong graduate with subject expertise, we'd love to hear from you.
* The Role
Deliver engaging online 1:1 English lessons
Teach GCSE & IGCSE English Language and/or Literature
Support students with:
Essay writing and structure
Language analysis
Reading comprehension
Exam technique and confidence
Adapt lessons to different abilities and learning styles
Provide clear feedback and track progress
Most lessons take place evenings and weekends
* Who We Are Looking For
Essential
Degree in English, English Literature, Education, or a closely related field
Experience teaching or tutoring KS3/GCSE-level English
Excellent written and spoken English
Right to work in the UK
Reliable internet and confidence teaching online
Desirable (but not required)
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Previous GCSE or IGCSE tutoring experience
Familiarity with AQA, OCR, Edexcel, and IGCSE exam boards
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
