Service Care Solutions are currently working alongside a reputable Police Force, based in Devon and Cornwall, which needs a Legal Advisor to join their team. This role would be well suited to a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive .
ROLE: Legal Advisor
LOCATION: Devon and Cornwall
UMBRELLA rate: £30ph-£35ph umbrella
CONTRACT LENGTH: 3 months rolling
The responsibilities of the Legal Advisor:
1. Investigate, research, and advise upon a range of contentious and non-contentious legal issues, including high-profile and high-risk matters.
2. Prepare for and carry out advocacy representing the Chief Constable in a variety of legal proceedings including Civil Litigation, Employment Tribunals, Inquests, internal misconduct hearings, Family Court proceedings and obtaining Civil Preventative Orders.
3. Attend court across various locations Devon and Cornwall
The person:
4. A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with 3+ years of PQE Civil Litigation
5. Someone with public sector experience
6. Someone with strong advocacy skills and is able to attend court when required.
