Head of Legal The Organisation Our client is a well-established property management organisation based in Ilford. Founded in 2003, they have built a strong reputation for working in partnership with landlords and investors to deliver guaranteed rental returns. Managing everything from individual flats to entire estates, the organisation is committed to service excellence and long-term value creation. Salary £50-£55k per annum. Part time or full time.
The Role
A dynamic and experienced Head of Legal is sought to lead the legal function and support the organisation’s leadership team. This is a key strategic appointment offering the successful candidate an opportunity to shape legal direction and ensure compliance across the business. The post-holder will oversee a team of paralegals and provide expert legal guidance on a broad range of issues, including property law, housing law, litigation, and corporate governance.
The role demands strong leadership skills and a commercial approach to legal services, alongside the ability to work effectively across multiple legal domains in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You will be part of a close-knit senior team driving the future success of the organisation.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be a UK Qualified Solicitor with significant experience across legal areas relevant to social housing and property. You will bring strong knowledge of housing and property law, governance, contracts, and dispute resolution. You will also have proven experience in leading legal teams, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide clear, solutions-focused advice.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, have exceptional organisational skills, and demonstrate commercial awareness. You will have the confidence to engage at senior level and influence business decisions through clear and practical legal guidance.
