The Role The Spa Manager will be responsible for the strategic leadership, commercial performance, and operational excellence of the spa. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who has experience driving business growth, team development, and exceptional guest experiences, and ideally experience as a skilled therapist. You will foster a culture of professionalism, warmth, and wellness, ensuring the spa operates efficiently, profitably, and in line with Thyme’s brand standards. Spa Development This is a particularly exciting opportunity to lead the launch of our new spa development. With planning permission secured for new treatment spaces and indoor hot spa facilities, you will play a key role in guiding the spa into this next phase of growth. As Spa Manager, your role will encompass operational oversight, team leadership, guest experience management, and strategic support for spa growth. Your approach will ensure that the spa runs seamlessly and every guest leaves with a personalised, high-quality experience. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Lead, inspire, and develop therapists and spa receptionists Foster a positive, professional, high-performing culture Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing performance Mentor therapists to elevate treatment standards and guest care Lead by example, remaining hands-on with treatments when required Operations Oversee daily spa operations, ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and health & safety Manage the diary, staffing, bookings, and rotas to optimise performance Provide reception support when needed, identifying opportunities within the diary Oversee stock control, ordering, suppliers, and retail partnerships Ensure seamless guest journeys from booking through to post-treatment follow-up Manage maintenance across all spa areas, including Orchid House, ensuring consistent standards Support ongoing spa development initiatives Commercial & Financial Performance Manage budgets, payroll, cost control, and revenue performance Monitor KPIs including occupancy, treatment value, and retail conversion Drive revenue through treatments, retail, and promotional initiatives Collaborate on seasonal packages and wellness experiences Prepare performance reports for senior management Guest Experience Deliver a high-end, personalised service aligned with five-star standards Oversee the management of guest enquiries, feedback, and issues with professionalism and care Foster a culture of ownership and attention to detail across the team Spa Development Collaborate with management and project teams on the launch of the new spa facilities to deliver a seamless and considered expansion Contribute to the evolution of the spa concept, shape and evolve the spa offering, including treatment menus, operations and guest experience Identify opportunities for new revenue streams, wellness programmes, and partnerships.
